first annual truckee art fair

Sometimes the best laid plans...

So this show was originally supposed to be at Homewood on Lake Tahoe, but a scheduling glitch moved it to Truckee at the last moment (about a month before the show) so we rolled with changes - then on Saturday morning, a couple vehicles were illegally parked in the show space, which meant we had to wait for them to get towed before we could set up - what a way to start a show!

The fun part was that I was right smack next to one of my best art pals, Michelle MacKenzie, so we set up as one big tent & had so much fun that we hardly minded all the last minute challenges.

I even caught Michelle with her table-skirt up, making sales & getting some supplies from under her table. (That's how we traveling art show types have to work sometimes.)

After the show was over, fellow traveling art show types, Lisa & Dirk, sum up the whole thing with their body language, flung across their incredibly packed art van. (Dirk takes really wonderful photographs!)

And at the end of a crazy show weekend, we all head home - riding off into the sunset...
